| Description | A Collection of individuals and families who came to the Hagerman Valley in Gooding County, Idaho. The Hagerman Valley was originally in Alturas county which was abolished in 1895 and became what is now Blaine, Butte, Camas, Custer, Elmore, Gooding, Jerome, Lincoln, Minidoka and Power counties. They came to mine; build roads, ferries, and dams; raise horses, cattle and sheep and eventually to farm. Many passed through, but some stayed. They came from East and West, Europe and Asia. Some went home, but others moved on following the gold, the Railroad or just someplace else. Some died here their fate unknown to family and friends. This is a work in progress and includes information gleaned from census records, vital records, and family histories.
