PROPERTY: He sold the Lordship and Castle of Powys to Sir Edward Herbert, 2nd son of William Earl of Pembroke, in 1587; after which he is called of Buildwas, Shropshire. Edward was forced to buy off some of these claiments with lands, but others pursued their claims into the 1700's. Several sources talk about these claims and gives extensive pedigrees.
